NEW SCOOBY DOO SERIES
The series will premiere Jon the Boomerang television channel in USA and U.K. It isn’t known as of 2020, if the series will be renewed for a second season by requesting new writers. The series was given a 26 episode order instead of a 13 episode order like the original 2002 series. Writers and Idea Makers will form together sometime in August 2021. On October 2, 2020, Scooby Studio as well as Nick Gil announced that What’s New, Scooby-Doo? (Scooby Studio) was in production. This series was created by Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? Fan and episodes are currently in development. The project is animated, which could be why they’re more open to promoting it as an adult cartoon, but I think an R-rated Scooby-Doo could be reasonably successful if done right.What’s New, Scooby-Doo! I felt like a lot of teens came out for the first film and didn’t get what they wanted (and didn’t come back for the sequel). I thought at the time the rating change was a mistake. Language and jokes and sexual situations were removed, including a kiss between Daphne and Velma. The studio decided to go a more family-friendly route.
